Last week, the annual "Top101" list of Latvia's most valuable companies, compiled by "Nasdaq Riga" and "Prudentia," was published. Based in Latvia, SmartLynx Airlines was recognized as the most valuable Latvian airline and the most valuable company in the transportation, logistics, and transit sector in 2024. In the list of Latvia's most valuable companies, SmartLynx ranked 16th.

Edvinas Demenius, CEO of SmartLynx Airlines, stated: "In recent years, SmartLynx has experienced rapid growth, achieved through the relentless efforts of our team both in Latvia and internationally. To ensure the future development of SmartLynx, we are currently focusing on corporate restructuring and enhancing the efficiency of our processes, as well as evaluating and optimizing our fleet and other resources. Our main goal is to ensure sustainable and stable growth, which is crucial for our business and the local aviation industry."

In 2024, the demand for flights reached pre-pandemic levels for the first time. As a result, this year, SmartLynx has transported a record number of passengers - 7.21 million from January to September, which is 52% more than last year (4.723 million). In 2023, SmartLynx's net turnover reached €496.6 million, up 42% from the previous year, ending the reporting period with an EBITDA of €118 million. The airline concluded 2023 with a net profit of €22.7 million. This year, SmartLynx is focusing on investments in corporate restructuring, improving the technical condition of the fleet, and enhancing service quality.
