In January, we bid farewell to our beloved crew member – Captain Flaminio Poltronieri, as he headed to his well-deserved retirement. The farewell ceremony in the Lagos base included lots of hugs and heartfelt words from fellow crew, photo moments with passengers, and the famous water salute. 

Flaminio shared, “I would like to thank our Lagos Base Commander Bilel, Station Manager Ivo, and my colleagues for an overwhelmingly emotional, rewarding, and unforgettable farewell. A unique day, with unique people for a one-of-a-kind event. Thank you, gentlemen, and thank you, SmartLynx!”

Beyond his flying duties, Captain Flaminio also made a lasting impact as a CRM instructor and part of our recruitment team. Captain, thank you for your dedication and the many journeys together!
